The Alpine Trail XR is for big all-mountain days were travel and geometry matter most. Built for abuse and rowdy, enduro-style riding and racing. The Series 4 6061 aluminum frame, with 29er wheels, detailed forgings, highly manipulated tubes, and full internal cable routing including an internal dropper post, gives the rider the highest-end alloy frame that Marin offers. The heart of the Alpine Trail XR is its MultiTrac suspension platform, the 160mm RockShox Lyrik Ultimate fork and 150mm Super Deluxe coil shock apply class leading performance rampaging over rock gardens, slick exposed roots, and loamy descents. The strength and stiffness of the forged one-piece rocker link keeps the rear tracking straight under demanding conditions, while allowing for maximum tire clearance and short chainstays. The Shimano SLX/XT drivetrain is paired with Shimano BR-MT420 4 piston hydro disc brakes, an FSA Gradient crankset and burly Maxxis Assegai 29x2.5” tubeless compatible tyres.
